Lydia Monk is an MA student in Yale’s Program in the History of Science and Medicine. Her interests include twentieth century U.S. histories of reproductive medicine, eugenics and genetic counseling, and medical education. She also serves as a doula and plans to pursue a career in medicine.
Lydia graduated from Yale College in 2024 with a B.S. in Cognitive Science, with a focus on Language and Mind. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked in Sickle Cell Disease research at the Mount Sinai Sickle Cell Center
