November 7, 2025

Ashley Cooper has been selected as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Research Scholar! This is a nationally competitive four-year fellowship which will allow Ashley to bring her historical research to bear on public policy, especially for mental health equity for children of color. The fellowship will provide Ashley with $120,000 of funding and will equip her with pertinent policy, leadership, and research training.

Ashley’s work — both her research and her volunteer activity — was also recently featured in the City of New Haven’s 2025 Suicide Prevention Guide, posted here.
